Biography
Discordance Axis was a pioneering New Jersey-based grindcore trio (1991–2001) known for their technical, high-speed, and dissonant sound. Comprising vocalist Jon Chang, drummer Dave Witte, and guitarist Rob Marton, they blended mathcore with intense grind, featuring non-political, existential lyrics. Their notable, largely bass-less sound is characterized by complex, sharp riffs and chaotic, precise drumming, often cited as a cornerstone of "art-grind".
