Biography
Drivin N Cryin are an American roots and Southern rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1985 by Kevn Kinney and Tim Nielsen, who remain the band's constants. After the independent 'Scarred but Smarter', they signed to #Island Records# for 'Whisper Tames the Lion', 'Mystery Road' and the gold selling 'Fly Me Courageous', mixing hard rock, folk, country and punk influences throughout. Drummer Jeff Sullivan and guitarist Buren Fowler defined the classic line-up, with keyboardist Joey Huffman and drummer Dave V. Johnson among the significant later members. The band were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2015 and remain active.
