Biography
Edge of Sanity was a Swedish progressive death metal band from Finspång, formed in 1989 around singer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö with guitarists Andreas Axelsson and Sami Nerberg, bassist Anders Lindberg and drummer Benny Larsson. The quintet moved from the death metal of 'Nothing but Death Remains' (1991) toward the single-track concept album 'Crimson' (1996). Swanö left in 1997, the band made 'Cryptic' with singer Robert Karlsson and split, and Swanö briefly revived the name alone for 'Crimson II' (2003).
