El Marido Ideal

El Marido Ideal is the musical project of Gran Canaria artist Carlos Marrero. Blending a sharp pop sensibility with raw, emotionally charged lyrics, Marrero has carved out a unique space in the Spanish indie scene with a style he self-describes as "hyperfolk". The project began with the release of a self-titled EP in late 2020 on #Jeito Aparte Records# and #Discos de Kirlian#, which introduced his signature sound of intimate songwriting backed by both acoustic and electronic arrangements. Often collaborating with a rotating cast of musicians for studio recordings and live performances, El Marido Ideal is defined by Marrero's distinct artistic vision and introspective storytelling.
