Biography
Enzo Carella (1952–2017) was a Roman singer-songwriter whose elegant, funk-tinged pop was defined by his long collaboration with lyricist Pasquale Panella and its surreal, hermetic wordplay. He came to national attention when 'Barbara' placed second at the 1979 Sanremo Festival, and recorded from his 1977 debut 'Vocazione' through to 'Ahoh Ye Nà nà ' in 2007, remaining a singular voice in Italian song.
