Fontaines D.C.

Dublin-based quintet Fontaines D.C. emerged as one of the most vital voices in modern post-punk, blending raw, driving energy with literate, poetic lyricism. Formed after meeting at music college and bonding over a shared love of James Joyce and Patrick Kavanagh, the band captures the grit and beauty of urban life. Their music evolved from the urgent, rhythmic storytelling of "Dogrel" to the dark, expansive textures of "Skinty Fia" and the vibrant, kaleidoscopic alternative rock of "Romance". Fronted by the distinctive, intense delivery of Grian Chatten, they have become a global force in independent music, lauded for their uncompromising artistic evolution.
