Biography
Gila was a German krautrock band from Stuttgart, active from 1969 to 1974 and led by guitarist Conny Veit, the only member of both of its lineups. Its two studio albums contrast sharply: the instrumental space rock of 'Gila' (1971), also titled 'Free Electric Sound', and the psychedelic folk of 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee' (1973), recorded with members of *Popol Vuh*.
