Glassjaw

Glassjaw is an influential American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1993 around the core duo of vocalist Daryl Palumbo and guitarist Justin Beck. They exploded onto the scene with their raw and visceral debut album, "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence" (2000), a landmark of the genre. Their 2002 follow-up, "Worship and Tribute," refined their sound, balancing abrasive aggression with intricate melodies and Palumbo's dynamic vocal range, which shifts from pained screams to soulful crooning. After a long period of sporadic activity and lineup changes, the band made a surprise return with their third full-length, "Material Control," in 2017, reaffirming their status as innovators.
