Biography
Bristol post-punk band Glaxo Babies formed in late 1977 around Dan Catsis, Tom Nichols, Geoff Alsopp and singer Rob Chapman, mixing punk with dub, jazz and funk. After the 'This Is Your Life' EP and Peel sessions, Chapman left in 1979 and the reconfigured band recorded 'Nine Months to the Disco' in one day for #Heartbeat Records#, splitting as it appeared in 1980. Several members formed *Maximum Joy*. The band reformed in 1985 and again in 2015, returning in 2025 with 'Men of Stone', built around original guitarist Catsis.
