Biography
Gomez is a five piece English indie rock band from Southport, formed in 1996 and unchanged ever since: Ian Ball, Ben Ottewell and Tom Gray share vocals and guitars, with Paul Blackburn on bass and Olly Peacock on drums. Their self produced debut 'Bring It On' (1998), released on #Hut Records#, mixed blues, folk, psychedelia and lo fi experiment and won the Mercury Prize. Seven studio albums through 'Whatever's on Your Mind' (2011) established Gomez as durable festival favourites on both sides of the Atlantic, built on three distinct singing and songwriting voices within one band.
