Biography
Dutch psychedelic rock band from The Hague, formed in 1964 as The Klits and renamed Groep 1850 in 1966. Led throughout by Peter Sjardin, the band signed to #Philips#, charted with 'Mother No-Head' and released 'Agemo's Trip to Mother Earth' (1968), widely cited as the first Dutch concept album. Later lineups produced 'Paradise Now' (1969) and the largely instrumental 'Polyandri' (1975) before the group dissolved, leaving a brief but innovative catalogue at the heart of Dutch psychedelic rock.
