Iva Bittová & Pavel Fajt

Biography

Iva Bittová & Pavel Fajt are a Czech duo from Brno, pairing Bittová's violin and extraordinary voice with Fajt's inventive percussion. Both came out of the rock band *Dunaj*, and from 1987 their duo records blended Moravian folk, minimalism and improvisation into a sound unlike anything else in European music. Their concerts mixed virtuosity with theatre, ritual, play and sudden silence.
