Biography
Jason & the Scorchers are a Nashville band formed in 1981 by singer Jason Ringenberg and guitarist Warner Hodges, pioneers of cowpunk and alternative country. With bassist Jeff Johnson and drummer Perry Baggs, the classic line-up made 'Lost & Found' and 'Still Standing', records that crashed country songwriting into punk and hard rock. Later reunions produced 'A Blazing Grace', 'Clear Impetuous Morning' and, with a new rhythm section, 'Halcyon Times' in 2010.
