Jerry Harrison

Jerry Harrison

An American musician, producer, and songwriter, Jeremiah Griffin Harrison first gained notice in the proto-punk ensemble The Modern Lovers. [2, 4] He secured a wider influence as the keyboardist and guitarist for Talking Heads, where his architectural approach to arrangement and multi-instrumental abilities expanded the band's sonic framework from post-punk into complex polyrhythmic textures. [9] Following his tenure with the band, Harrison forged a distinguished career as a producer for artists like Live, Violent Femmes, and No Doubt, shaping the sound of alternative rock in the 1990s and beyond while also releasing several solo albums.
