Biography
Jim White is an American singer-songwriter from Pensacola, Florida, whose work defines Southern Gothic Americana. Signed by *David Byrne* to #Luaka Bop#, his debut 'Wrong-Eyed Jesus!' (1997) made him a cult figure, and he fronted the documentary 'Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus' (2003). His songs pair country and gospel roots with surreal, literary storytelling. Later albums such as 'Drill a Hole in That Substrate and Tell Me What You See' (2004) have sustained that cult reputation for three decades.
