Biography
Joey Tempest is the stage name of Joakim Larsson, a Swedish singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the frontman for the rock band Europe. He penned the band's most iconic hits, including the global phenomenon 'The Final Countdown', 'Rock the Night', and the power ballad 'Carrie'. Growing up in Upplands V盲sby, his early influences included *Thin Lizzy* and *Led Zeppelin*. After achieving massive success with Europe on the #Epic Records# label, the band went on hiatus in 1992. Tempest then embarked on a solo career, releasing three albums including 'A Place to Call Home' and 'Azalea Place', which explored different musical styles before Europe's successful reunion in 2003.
