John Flansburgh

John Flansburgh is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the co-founder of the alternative rock duo They Might Be Giants. Alongside his childhood friend *John Linnell*, Flansburgh has steered the band since 1982, contributing lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and a significant portion of the songwriting. His distinctive creative voice also led him to form the side project Mono Puff in the mid-90s, releasing albums like 'Unsupervised' and 'It's Fun to Steal'. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, he is also a music video director and record producer, having worked with artists like *Jonathan Coulton* and *Frank Black*. In 2023, he released a solo EP titled 'Forest/Trees'.
