Biography
Houston hard rock band formed in 1969 by Pete Bailey, Dave Mitchell, Ray Turner and Doug Tull. Josefus recorded two albums in quick succession, the self titled 'Josefus' and 'Dead Man' (1970), the latter a raw, *Led Zeppelin* influenced set cut in a single session for their own #Hookah# label. Long a collector's rarity, the band is now recognised as a pioneering model for Texas heavy rock, and it reunited sporadically from the late 1970s onwards.
