Julieta Venegas is a Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her distinctive blend of pop, rock, and traditional Mexican folk music. Born in California but raised in Tijuana, her bicultural upbringing informs her sound. She first gained notice in the ska band *Tijuana No!* before launching a solo career with her 1997 debut, 'Aqu铆'. Her mainstream breakthrough came with the album 'S铆' (2003), followed by the internationally successful 'Lim贸n y Sal' (2006). A prolific instrumentalist, Venegas is particularly known for incorporating the accordion into her music, creating a signature style that has made her one of the most recognized artists in Latin music.
