Biography
Kaliber 44 is a Polish hip-hop group from Katowice, widely regarded as the most influential act in Polish rap. Founding rappers AbradAb, Joka and Magik pioneered hardcore psycho rap on 'Księga Tajemnicza. Prolog' for #S.P. Records#, mixing abrasive wordplay with psychedelic and jazz influences. After Magik left in 1998, the group continued with DJ Feel-X and won major honours for '3:44'. A long hiatus ended with the chart-topping reunion album 'Ułamek tarcia' in 2016. Joka died in 2025, and the group ended with a farewell tour in 2026, leaving four studio albums that shaped generations of Polish MCs.
