Biography
Minneapolis folk blues trio formed in 1962 by guitarist singers John Koerner and Dave Ray with harmonica player Tony Glover. Their three #Elektra# albums of 1963 to 1965, led by 'Blues, Rags and Hollers', put raw prewar country blues back in front of the folk revival audience and made them mentors to the young *Bob Dylan*. A loose partnership rather than a fixed trio, they reunited sporadically until Ray's death in 2002 ended the act.
