LAUSSE THE CAT

Biography

LAUSSE THE CAT is an anonymous French-British rapper and songwriter from Camden, London, later based in Leeds. Masked as a stray cat character, he mixes alternative hip-hop with jazz textures and detailed, downbeat storytelling about addiction, nightlife and loneliness. His 2018 EP 'The Girl, The Cat and The Tree' on #Velvet Blues# built a cult following, and after a long hiatus he returned with the album 'The Mocking Stars' in 2025. *MF DOOM* is a cited influence.
