Biography
Leño were a Madrid hard rock trio formed in 1978 by Rosendo Mercado on guitar and vocals, Ramiro Penas on drums and Chiqui Mariscal on bass, all ex-members of *Ñu*. Mariscal left during the recording of their 1979 debut 'Leño' for #Chapa# and Tony Urbano completed the classic line-up. 'Más Madera' (1980) and '¡Corre, Corre!' (1982) followed, and the live favourite Maneras de Vivir made them leaders of Spanish urban rock before they split in 1983.
