Biography
Les Rallizes Dénudés were a Japanese noise rock band formed at Doshisha University in Kyoto in 1967 and led throughout their career by guitarist and singer Takashi Mizutani. Famous for overwhelming volume, feedback and repetitive grooves, they performed live rather than recording studio albums, and their music circulated for decades mainly through bootlegs and archival releases such as ''77 Live'. The band played its final concert in 1996 and became one of Japan's most influential underground cult acts.
