Los Sara Fontán

Biography

Los Sara Fontan is an instrumental duo from Catalonia, Spain, formed in 2017 by classically trained violinist Sara Fontán and drummer Edi Pou of *ZA!*. For years the pair refused to record, concentrating on hundreds of live performances across Europe built on polyrhythm, improvisation and physical intensity. Their sound blends post-rock, contemporary classical, punk and electronics using only violin, drums and electronics. After building a home studio in Calonge they released a first album, 'Queda pendiente', in 2023, followed by 'Consuelo' on #Aloud#, both records translating a famously kinetic live act into the studio without losing its edge.
