Lowercase (stylized as lowercase) is a Palm Desert/San Francisco post-rock/slowcore duo formed in the early '90s by Imaad Wasif (vocals/guitar) and Brian Girgus (drums). Known for intense, minimalist noise-rock and "onstage exorcisms," they released three LPs and several singles on labels like Amphetamine Reptile and Kill Rock Stars before disbanding in 2000, reuniting in 2025.
