Biography
Lucero is a Memphis alt-country band formed in 1998 around Ben Nichols's gravel-voiced songwriting. With an unchanged core quartet, albums from 'Tennessee' (2002) to 'Among the Ghosts' (2018) blend punk grit, country, and Memphis soul, sustained by one of America's heaviest touring schedules. Nichols has also recorded solo albums, but Lucero remains his primary vehicle and the band's lineup has been unchanged in its core for over twenty-five years.
