Biography
Magna Carta are a British folk rock band formed in London in April 1969 by Chris Simpson, Lyell Tranter and Glen Stuart. Their gentle harmony singing and Simpson's songwriting produced 'Seasons' (1970) and 'Lord of the Ages' (1973) for #Vertigo Records#, and the band continued through many lineups for fifteen studio albums. Simpson and his wife Linda were the later core of the group, whose last studio album was 'The Fields of Eden' (2015).
