Biography
Malignancy is a technical death metal band from Yonkers, New York, formed in February 1992 by vocalist Danny Nelson and guitarist Javier Velez. Nelson and longtime guitarist Ron Kachnic are the constants through decades of lineup change. After underground demos the band debuted with 'Intrauterine Cannibalism' in 1999, then developed a more intricate, dystopian direction on 'Inhuman Grotesqueries', 'Eugenics' and '...Discontinued', released through #Willowtip Records#. The band remains a cult act in New York death metal, known for dense riffing, abrupt rhythmic shifts and grotesque, clinically detailed lyrics.
