Biography
Manolo Sanl煤car (Manuel Mu帽oz Alc贸n, November 24, 1943 to August 27, 2022) was a Spanish flamenco guitarist and composer from Sanl煤car de Barrameda, C谩diz. Alongside *Paco de Luc铆a* he broadened the harmonic and formal possibilities of flamenco, treating it as a concert and orchestral language in works such as 'Tauromagia' (1988) and the ballet 'Medea'. A National Music Prize winner and an influential teacher, he retired from performing in 2013 after a career that began in his teens.
