Biography
Mark Olson is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist celebrated as a founding member of the influential alternative country band The Jayhawks. Known for his distinctive vocals and poignant, rustic songwriting, Olson was a principal creative force on seminal Jayhawks albums like 'Hollywood Town Hall' and 'Tomorrow the Green Grass'. He left the band in 1995 and formed The Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers with his then-wife *Victoria Williams*, exploring a more stripped-down, folk-centric sound. His career also includes a lauded solo discography, a reunion with *The Jayhawks*, and extensive collaborations with his wife, Norwegian musician *Ingunn Ringvold*.
