Biography
Marnero are a post-hardcore band from Bologna, Italy, named for the Black Sea. Across 'Naufragio Universale', 'Il sopravvissuto', 'La Malora' and 'Quando vedrai le navi in fiamme sar脿 giunta l'ora', they developed a maritime concept world of shipwrecks, survivors and plagues, setting Italian-language vocals inside a sound that mixes hardcore fury with post-rock atmosphere and sludge. Rooted in Italy's DIY hardcore tradition yet unusually literary and expansive, Marnero are one of the defining Italian underground bands of the 2010s.
