Biography
Matthews Southern Comfort are a British country rock band formed in England in 1970 by former *Fairport Convention* singer Iain Matthews, initially to tour his debut solo album of the same name. The original lineup's harmony-rich sound produced two albums, 'Second Spring' and 'Later That Same Year', and a UK number one with their cover of 'Woodstock'. Matthews soon left, but he has twice revived the band with Dutch musicians, most recently alongside BJ Baartmans, Eric Devries and Bart de Win for 'Like a Radio', 'The New Mine' and 'The Woodstock Album'.
