Biography
Mecano were a Spanish synth-pop trio from Madrid, formed in 1981 by Ana Torroja and brothers Nacho and José MarÃa Cano. Their six studio albums, from 'Mecano' (1982) to 'Aidalai' (1991), made them the best selling Spanish band of their era, with songs including 'Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar', 'Hijo de la Luna' and 'Mujer Contra Mujer'. The trio split after a hiatus announced in 1992 and a brief reunion in 1998.
