Biography
Mick Jones is a British musician, singer-songwriter, and producer who first rose to fame as the co-founder, lead guitarist, and co-lead vocalist for the legendary punk band The Clash. His ambitious songwriting and fusion of punk with reggae, dub, and rockabilly were instrumental to the band's iconic sound on albums like 'London Calling' and 'Sandinista!'. After his dismissal from The Clash in 1983, he formed Big Audio Dynamite, a pioneering group that blended rock with dance, hip-hop, and sample culture. Jones is also a respected producer, having helmed influential albums for artists like *The Libertines* and *Babyshambles*, and has continued to record and perform with his band Carbon/Silicon.
