Biography
Mitochondrion is a death metal trio formed in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2003 by Shawn Hach茅 and Nick Yanchuk, with drummer Karl Godard completing the lineup in 2006. Their dense, dissonant and occult music fills two albums, 'Archaeaeon' (2008) and 'Parasignosis' (2011), the latter a recognised touchstone of modern dissonant death metal. The band records rarely, slowly and very deliberately, by design.
