Biography
Mouse on Mars is a German electronic duo formed in 1993 by Jan St. Werner, from Cologne, and Andi Toma, from D眉sseldorf. Their playful music blends IDM, glitch, dub, krautrock and ambient, layering processed analog and digital textures over strong grooves and basslines, with live strings, horns, drums and guitar added in the studio. After early albums on #Too Pure# including 'Vulvaland' (1994) and 'Iaora Tahiti' (1995), they founded their own label #Sonig# in 1997. Later work ranges from 'Idiology' (2001) and 'Parastrophics' (2012) to the orchestral 'Dimensional People' (2018) and 'Anarchist Colour Cannon' (2021).
