Biography
Ottawa chamber folk trio built around classical guitarist Nathana毛l Larochette, cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne and violinist Evan Runge. Musk Ox began as Larochette's solo project in 2006, became a trio by the early 2010s, and recorded the instrumental suites 'Woodfall' (2014) and 'Inheritance' (2021), mixing neofolk, classical and atmospheric metal influences. Their music is entirely instrumental, slow building and closely tied to images of the Canadian wilderness.
