Biography

Niagara was a Munich percussion project led by German jazz drummer Klaus Weiss, formed around 1970. Its debut album 'Niagara' presented an orchestra of drummers, including Udo Lindenberg and Keith Forsey, playing extended unaccompanied percussion pieces. 'S.U.B.' added jazz-rock instrumentation in 1972, and 'Afire' closed the group's three albums in 1973. The records became cult favourites among krautrock collectors and producers hunting for drum breaks.
