Nightmarer

Biography

Nightmarer formed in 2013 when guitarist Simon Hawemann and drummer Paul Seidel, both formerly of *War from a Harlots Mouth*, began writing dissonant death metal across the Atlantic, with Hawemann in Tampa, Florida and Seidel in Germany. Vocalist John Collett completed the trio. Their music — built on low, angular guitar dissonance, irregular tempos and claustrophobic atmosphere — produced the 'Chasm' EP (2016), the #Season of Mist# debut 'Cacophony of Terror' (2018) and 'Deformity Adrift' (2023), released on their own #Total Dissonance Worship# imprint.
