Biography
Nimal were a Swiss avant-prog band formed by Jean-Maurice Rossel after *Débile Menthol* ended in 1985. With cellist Tom Cora and drummer Pippin Barnett, and later accordionist Bratko Bibič and bassist Jean-20 Huguenin, they recorded three albums for #RecRec Music# and #Ayaa#: 'Nimal' (1987), 'Voix de surface' (1990) and 'DisTanz' (1992). Their painstakingly composed music blended European folk, jazz and avant-garde rock within the Rock in Opposition orbit.
