Biography
Brazilian progressive rock band formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1968 and centred on guitarist Sérgio Hinds, the only constant member. O Terço moved from psychedelic rock on 'O Terço' (1970) to the classic progressive sound of 'Criaturas da Noite' (1975), recorded with Sérgio Magrão, Luiz Moreno and Flávio Venturini and one of the defining Brazilian prog albums, followed by 'Casa Encantada' (1976) and 'Mudança de Tempo' (1978). The band split in 1978 and Hinds has led later revivals since 1982.
