Biography
New York post-hardcore trio formed in 1999 by guitarist Jamie Behar and drummer Steven Roche, both formerly of screamo band *Saetia*, taking their name from a *Thelonious Monk* composition. Steven's brother Kevin Roche settled the line-up on bass from 2001. Three studio albums — 'The Heat Death of the Universe' (2003), 'Innominate' (2004) and 'Some Blood' (2008) — fold jazz, reggae and dub voicings into intricate, stop-start hardcore structures. The band disbanded in 2008.
