Paulo Jr.

Paulo Jr. is a Brazilian musician best known as the bassist for the influential heavy metal band Sepultura. His full name is Paulo Xisto Pinto Júnior. Joining in 1984, he is the band's longest-serving member and the only one to have remained through all its lineup changes. Although he was credited on early albums, his first studio recording with the band was the landmark 1993 album 'Chaos A.D.'. His steady, driving bass lines have been a foundational element of Sepultura's sound, from their thrash and death metal origins to the groove and tribal-infused metal of iconic albums like 'Roots'. He remains a vital part of the band's enduring legacy.
