Biography
Pearls Before Swine were a psychedelic folk band formed in Melbourne, Florida, in 1965 around singer-songwriter Tom Rapp. Their debut, 'One Nation Underground' (1967) on #ESP-Disk#, sold around 250,000 copies, and 'Balaklava' (1968) became a landmark of psychedelic folk. With a shifting cast behind Rapp, the band recorded for #Reprise Records# until Rapp retired in 1973 to practise law, returning only briefly in the late 1990s.
