Biography
Pop Art was a Los Angeles jangle pop band built around singer David Steinhart, his brothers Jeff and Richard, bassist Tony Ortega and, first, drummer Steve LePatner and then Steven Weisburd. Recording for the brothers' own #Stonegarden Records#, they released an EP in 1984 and four albums of bright, literate guitar pop: 'A Perfect Mental Picture', 'Long Walk to Nowhere', the acclaimed 'Snap Crackle Pop Art' and 'Later on in the Same Life'. College radio favourites who never broke through commercially, they split in 1990.
