Biography
Short-lived Swedish-based studio fusion project (1973–1974) built around Polish keyboardist Włodek Gulgowski and saxophonist Zbigniew Namysłowski with Swedish guitarist Janne Schaffer. Pop Workshop left two albums: 'Vol. 1' (1973), with Ola Brunkert, Stefan Brolund, Ed Thigpen and Ahmadu Jarr completing the line-up, and 'Song of the Pterodactyl' (1974), an all-star session with *Tony Williams* on drums and Mads Vinding on bass. Despite its members' Polish contingent, the group was formed and recorded in Sweden; the stored country of Poland is corrected accordingly.
