Portraits of Past

Portraits of Past was an influential American post-hardcore/screamo band from the San Francisco Bay Area, active roughly from 1993 to 1995 before reforming decades later. Known for combining visceral, emotional hardcore with melodic, experimental instrumentation, they are considered pioneers of the "screamo" genre, though they were not widely known during their original brief existence.
