Biography
Prolapse are an English band from Leicester, formed in 1991 by vocalists Mick Derrick and Linda Steelyard with David Jeffreys, Pat Marsden, Mick Harrison and Tim Pattison. Their tense, repetitive sound mixed krautrock, punk and shoegaze, heard on 'Pointless Walks to Dismal Places' (1994), 'backsaturday' (1995) and 'The Italian Flag' (1997). Donald Ross Skinner joined after producing the third album, and 'Ghosts of Dead Aeroplanes' followed in 1999. After splitting in 2000 and brief returns in 2015 and 2022, they reunited in 2024 and released a fifth album in 2025.
