Canadian electronic pop duo from Edmonton, Alberta, formed in 2010 by singer Megan James and producer Corin Roddick. Purity Ring's spectral, hip-hop-influenced synth pop broke through with the debut album 'Shrines' on #4AD#, followed by 'Another Eternity', 'Womb' and a self-titled fourth album. Their live shows feature Roddick's custom-built tree-shaped light instrument. James also designs and sews the duo's stage clothing herself.
